This vital role involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging activities tailored to the needs of our Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living with a focus on enhancing their quality of life through meaningful recreational experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home environments, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' well-being while working within a supportive team committed to compassionate care.

Schedule:

Part-time (Wednesday-Saturday | 9:00am-4:30pm) Responsibilities Independently set-up and execute activities from start to finish. Be comfortable and confident working with residents at varying levels of physical and/or cognitive abilities and respectfully adapting activities accordingly. Able to learn and utilize multiple computer programs for activities. Accompany residents to on and off-campus events. This person will also be a back-up to the Transportation Coordinator and periodically may be asked to drive residents to on and off-campus events. Assist with on-and-off-campus events, and accompanying residents to and from multiple areas on campus. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, excellent customer service skills, and a knowledge of activities for the month. Adhere to all professional standards, policy and procedure; federal, state and local requirements. Drive residents to and off campus events, while following all transportation department protocols. Pre-trip/post van inspections. Maintain good driving record. Required Skills and Experience Candidate must have experience working with senior adults in a retirement community setting. Must be proficient in arts and crafts and possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Must demonstrate strong computer and clerical skills using Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to perform program research, assist in planning programs and be comfortable with public speaking. This position requires a valid driver's license. Three-year Driver's Abstract/Record required at time of in-person interview. Experience driving a 10+passenger van with a wheelchair lift preferred.
