Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors, by delivering personalized care in various settings, in private residences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to caregiving and the ability to create a warm and supportive environment. Responsibilities Personal Care and Daily Support Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Support clients with mobility needs, including safe lifting and transfers when required. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by completing light housekeeping tasks. Health Monitoring and Care Coordination Monitor oxygen and glucose levels as directed. Empty catheters and clean tubing according to care instructions. Observe clients for changes in condition and promptly report health or behavioral concerns to nursing staff or family members. Document client progress accurately and consistently. Individualized and Memory Care Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges. Build positive relationships with clients to support emotional well-being and social engagement. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred but not mandatory. Familiar with care plans is advantageous. Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living environment is a plus. A background in memory care is beneficial for supporting clients with cognitive impairments.
