Individuals and families throughout the Stevens Point, Plover, Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, and surrounding Central Wisconsin communities are seeking caring, dependable people to provide one-on-one support in private homes. These positions are part of Wisconsin's self-directed support program. Caregivers are hired directly by the individual or family receiving services, creating opportunities for personalized support, flexible scheduling, and meaningful long-term relationships. What You'll Do Responsibilities vary based on each person's needs and may include: Building positive relationships through companionship and conversation Assisting with personal care and daily routines Preparing meals and providing feeding assistance when needed Light housekeeping and household organization Transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities Mobility support and use of adaptive equipment (training provided when appropriate) Helping individuals remain safe, independent, and engaged in their communities Flexible Scheduling Available part-time or PRN schedules depend on the household and may include: Daytime shifts Evening hours Weekend coverage Overnight support Backup or fill-in opportunities Many positions work well for students, parents, retirees, or anyone looking for supplemental income. Compensation Most opportunities begin at $16.32 per hour , with higher pay available for positions requiring additional skills or higher levels of support. What We're Looking For Successful candidates are: At least 18 years old Able to pass a caregiver background check Reliable, patient, and compassionate Comfortable assisting with personal care when required Willing to learn and follow individualized support plans Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required for many positions.
