In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities, supporting their daily needs and promoting independence within a nurturing home environment. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create a positive, safe, and engaging atmosphere where residents feel valued and empowered. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve while working in a supportive team setting. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly to ensure well-being and identify any concerns early Provide care for residents with a range of disabilities. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area Support residents with community outings or transportation needs, including driving when qualified and authorized Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and resident rooms Document care activities thoroughly, communicate effectively with team members, and collaborate with social workers or healthcare professionals as needed Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is essential Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate attitude toward residents' individual needs Valid driver's license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to enriching lives through dedicated support and compassionate care.
