Night Shift - 5×8 Hours (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Anchorage, AK 99508 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join a leading acute care hospital in Anchorage, Alaska . This is a 13-week travel assignment with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient hospital laboratory and be proficient in performing a wide range of laboratory procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing in Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis, and Specimen Processing . Responsibilities include analyzing patient specimens, operating laboratory equipment, performing quality control procedures, reporting accurate test results, and maintaining compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards. Candidates should be comfortable working independently during night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. Experience Required Minimum 1 year of acute care or inpatient hospital laboratory experience. First-time travelers will be considered with at least 2 years of laboratory experience . Experience using Epic EMR is required. Experience with Siemens Atellica analyzers is preferred. Required Skills Hospital Clinical Laboratory experience. Chemistry testing, including Cardiac Enzymes, Hormone/Thyroid Testing, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, and Arterial Blood Gas. Hematology and Coagulation testing, including CBC Manual, Manual Differential, Platelet Count, and Fibrin Split Products (FDP). Immunology and Serology testing. Urinalysis, including Microscopic Urinalysis. Specimen collection, processing, transport, pipetting, and reporting laboratory results. Strong understanding of laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures. Certification Required Current
ASCP , AMT
