Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center • Chemistry Anniston , AL Allied Health full-time , evenings/nights , 5p-5a Req # 15937 Weekends?: Yes Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests, procedures and associated tasks in all disciplines of the Clinical Laboratory, by following protocols to assist in diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. Performs quality control and quality assurance procedures; performs equipment/instruments checks and maintains appropriate records. Expected to utilize complex problem solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems. Performs testing. Reviews results as assigned. Evaluates shifts and trends and correlates results with disease processes. Maintains equipment and notifies appropriate vendors when instrument problems are not resolved. Maintains work environment. Interacts with necessary departments and agencies both within and outside of the hospital. Trains personnel and students as requested. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Registry with education in an appropriate science program from an accredited college or university, or equivalent.
