A Laboratory Specimen Processor catalogs specimens in a medical laboratory for use by other health care workers, including laboratory technicians, nurses, and physicians. Specimens can include blood samples, bacteria cultures, and even organs. Receives specimens, enters specimen data into a computer system, prepares samples for further laboratory analysis, and transports specimens to other labs and clinical departments.

Job Description

The position is for a specimen collector. Experience would be a benefit; not a requirement. Candidate will need to collect urine specimen and at a busy medical practice. Candidate must have good "bedside manner" with patients. Candidate must follow HIPAA regulations. Candidate must work well with office staff. Candidate must be detail oriented. This position is only for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 12-6pm Saturdays every once in a while are possible
