Perform various duties and routine technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients under close supervision. Maintain patient and service rooms in clean orderly condition according to established policies and procedures. Performs basic respiratory therapy procedures, chest x-rays, EKGs and venipuncture. Qualifications for the job... High school education or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations to perform functions of job such as patient identification, determine weight and vital signs, etc. Four to six weeks on the job training to acquire the skills necessary to perform job functions. Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients, visitors and hospital personnel. Require knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques.
