N/A Basic Job Functions:
The responsibilities of the MET Lab Tech include but are not limited to: safely operating machines; gathering, organizing, recording, preparing and testing all samples as specified by the testing plans and other testing procedures in a timely and accurate manner; safely performing maintenance tasks related to the area equipment; providing support to other team members in the Lab; maintaining a clean and safe work area; entering data into computer system; participating in all training and developmental programs. Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and team work while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site within our Quality Control System. This is a 12-hour rotating shift position. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Experience in ensuring data accuracy to maintain high product quality and operational efficiency. Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Experience operating forklift Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in an industrial and laboratory environment
Preferred Qualifications:
One year or more of Industrial/Manufacturing experience Experience operating common lab equipment- saws, grinder, precision measuring equipment Mechanical testing experience in a manufacturing or lab environment Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on lab equipment Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
