Position Overview As a Full-Time Hematology Technician , you'll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely laboratory results that directly impact patient care. Working in our high-complexity laboratory environment, you'll perform hematology testing, analyze patient specimens, maintain laboratory instrumentation, and collaborate with fellow laboratory professionals to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position is ideal for an experienced laboratory professional who is detail-oriented, accountable, and passionate about advancing patient care through diagnostic excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform hematology testing following established laboratory protocols and quality control procedures. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers to ensure accurate and timely test results. Analyze and interpret test results and report findings accurately and efficiently. Prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens while ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Perform routine laboratory maintenance and instrument troubleshooting. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. Collaborate with laboratory team members and other departments to resolve technical and operational challenges. Assist with the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory procedures and testing methodologies. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Perform accurate manual differentials on peripheral blood smears. Identify and interpret normal and abnormal cell morphology. Adhere to all laboratory SOPs, CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and safety requirements. What We're Looking For College degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology , or a related scientific field. Minimum of 1-2 years of hematology and/or general clinical chemistry experience required. Experience in molecular or toxicology laboratory settings alone does not qualify for this position. Strong laboratory experience in hematology testing and procedures. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, microscopy, and instrumentation operation. Experience with Beckman instrumentation preferred , including: Access 2 DXH 560 AU 480 Roche instrumentation experience will also be considered. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional, dependable, and accountable.
Pay & Benefits Pay:
Starting at $24-$28.00 per hour
Schedule Options:
Tuesday-Saturday | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday | 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM (includes overnight pay differential)
