Craig in the School of Animal & Comparative Biomedical Sciences, is seeking an inquisitive, well-organized, and highly motivated individual for the position of Research Technician I. The successful candidate will work independently using a variety of established protocols including molecular biology and physiological techniques to examine the effects of environmental chemicals on female reproductive system function. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare for and perform predetermined experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) (or their delegate) to meet the objectives of the research project. Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, analyses, and results. Perform administrative and laboratory maintenance duties such as bookkeeping, ordering supplies, preparing solutions, and waste disposal. Report experiment progress to Principal Investigator. Complete data-sharing tasks and other activities for the dissemination of results under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (or their delegate). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledgeable of biological and chemical safety. Knowledgeable of animal care and use procedures. Knowledgeable of basic female reproductive physiology. Skilled in cell and tissue culture protocols. Skilled in conducting viability and hormone assays. Skilled in image acquisition and analysis. Skilled in animal handling.
