The Cell Processing Specialist is responsible for the processing, isolation, and quality control analysis of human primary cells and biological samples in a laboratory environment. This role supports the production of high-quality cell-based products by performing laboratory procedures, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about supporting scientific and healthcare advancements through laboratory operations. A Day in the Life of a Cell Processing Specialist atDiscovery Life Sciences:
Review production schedules and laboratory priorities Process human blood samples through centrifugation and cell isolation procedures Prepare reagents and buffers Perform quality control on cell products Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience): Associate's Degree or higher in a life science or related scientific field Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience in life sciences, biotech, healthcare, or related industry (training during degree program will be considered) Previous manufacturing or production laboratory experience preferred.Key Responsibilities:
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Demonstrated ability to learn laboratory processes and operate standard laboratory equipment. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to accurately follow established procedures while meeting quality standards and project timelines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed.Compensation and Benefits:
