As a pioneer and a leader in this industry with more than 2,200 cord blood units shipped for transplants, we educate parents and offer options on their newborn's umbilical cord blood banking.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Perform umbilical cord blood / tissue processing and cryopreservation. Perform in-house testing, TNC count, viability, and CFU. Perform lab maintenance duties, including cleaning and sterilization. Operate lab equipment, including microscope, automated hematology system, and flow cytometer. Maintain stocks of general lab materials Participate in the revision and validation of lab policies and procedures. Enter and manage lab data. Participate in the investigation of variances concerning lab procedures and policies. Demonstrate a complete understanding of these lab policies and procedures through successful completion of initial training and annual competency assessment program. Follow proper cGMP, HIPPA, AABB, and other regulatory standards at all times Maintain quality assurance records in accordance with defined lab policies and procedures Participate in the Quality Program by documenting all errors, variances, and accidents Perform additional lab-related duties as required or assigned Maintain good time-management and organization under pressure.Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related discipline 0-1 year of research/laboratory experience Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and under pressure. Works proactively and collaboratively with others to streamline work and achieve mutual goals.Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
