United States, California, Crockett 830 Loring Ave (Show on map) Aug 26, 2026 The ASR Group family of companies make up the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar. The companies produce a full line of grocery, industrial, foodservice and specialty sweetener products. Across North America, ASR Group companies operate five sugar refineries, located in California, Maryland, Louisiana, Canada and Mexico. In Europe, ASR Group companies operate sugar refineries in the United Kingdom, Portugal, and, with a joint venture partner, Italy. The companies also farm sugarcane and own sugar mills in Mexico and Belize. The ASR Group portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Florida Crystals, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle's, Sidul and Whitworths. ASR Group companies also produce and market Tellus, a single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice product made from plant fibers, including sugarcane.
OVERVIEW
The Quality Lab Tech conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid materials and liquids and analyzes test data. The Tech will also perform routine Quality Audits of the Quality System, Manufacturing Process, and Facility. Investigates non-conforming materials and issues Holds, provides support for disposition of Held materials. Reviews completed records for conformance to GMP documentation requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Sets up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control. Tests and analyzes materials used as ingredients in processes and products. Tests samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications. Documents results of tests and analyses on standardized forms, writes test reports, and prepares graphs and charts. Performs routine quality inspections of the manufacturing facility. Cleans, calibrates, and operates test equipment. Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas. All other duties as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCES
3+ years in a Quality or Lab position in a manufacturing facility required, preferably food manufacturing Prior experience with FDA or SQF compliance preferred Experience conducting internal quality audits preferred Experience working with minimal to no supervision required
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, general education degree (GED); or equivalent experience as determined by HR required Bachelors or Associates Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a similar field preferred

Hourly Rate:
$34.04
