A Day in the Life As a Prep Chemist in our El Dorado Hills, CA Laboratory , you'll be responsible for preparing samples, support daily lab operations, and collaborate with experienced teammates to deliver safe, accurate, on-time results every day. The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr , commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Monday - Friday; Availability for flexible schedule/shift preferred To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Preparation, extraction, and clean-up of various environmental sample matrices Perform sample preparation where needed (i.e. homogenization, etc.) Use of centrifuge, analytical balance, and various evaporative systems with organic solvents Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures Maintaining clean laboratory areas Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies Comply with Onterris Health and Safety Plan Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director Your Expertise and Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. Bachelor's degree in the chemical, environmental, physical or biological sciences Skills Preferred Skills Basic understanding of laboratory techniques Ability to function both independently and in a team environment Ability to follow all standard operating procedures Detail-oriented and desire to produce high quality work - Perform at a high level under strict time Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety Good organizational skills and strong communication skills Work Environment and Physical Requirements The physical and environmental requirements below reflect what's typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
