Job DescriptionEurofins Built Environment Testing is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Emeryville, CA location. This position is full-time with a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm shift and possible overtime and weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityGreets and assists laboratory clientelePerforms routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs.

These include:

Preparation of samples using standard techniquesReceiving and logging in samples using a LIMS systemAssisting with Environmental Health and Safety and Quality Assurance dutiesRecording and reporting any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine maintenanceResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and Quality assurance standardsResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work areaWorks under close supervision using routine and standard methodsConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsBasic Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma requiredSome college chemistry, biology, or geologyPrevious production-oriented, or food service work helpful (awareness, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and meet deadlines)Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipReading, writing and speaking skillsProblem solving skillsCustomer service skillsTeam participation and meeting management skillsTime management and organization skillsUse calculator/mathematical formulas and conceptsComplete work within time and quality constraintsWork independently following written or verbal instructionsCooperate and coordinate both orally and in writingAdditional InformationCompensation range: $20 - $22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Position is Full-time Monday - Friday , 8AM - 5PM shift with overtime or weekend work as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Emeryville, CA Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
