Job Description About the Role Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support day-to-day laboratory operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while following established procedures and quality standards. Responsibilities
  • Retrieve and prepare samples for laboratory testing
  • Perform sample preparation activities, including aliquoting, reagent preparation, sample bottling, concentration preparation, and liquid rack setup
  • Verify sample identification and resolve labeling discrepancies
  • Accurately document testing activities and maintain laboratory records
  • Enter sample information into laboratory systems
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Wash and organize laboratory glassware
  • Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with general laboratory housekeeping and inventory management
  • Support additional laboratory functions as needed The compensation for this position is between $18-20/HR based on experience.

Skills and Requirements Required:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Preferred:
-Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field - Previous laboratory, quality control, research, or sample preparation experience
