Job Title:
Lab Technician - Micro experience is a plus. Long term growth within the company. 9 am to 5:30 pm for either: Sunday through Thursday Tuesday through Saturday Job Description This entry-level Lab Technician I role supports day-to-day laboratory operations by maintaining laboratory spaces, equipment, instruments, and supply storage areas. You will perform routine laboratory procedures using standard methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in alignment with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in laboratory work while contributing to accurate and timely testing activities. Responsibilities + Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis in a timely and accurate manner. + Perform sample preparation activities, including aliquoting samples, spiking and tracing samples, preparing reagents, bottling samples, preparing concentrations, performing separations, conducting sonication, and setting up liquid racks. + Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure all samples are properly labeled and traceable. + Prepare and maintain general laboratory documentation, including recording analysis results, tracking samples, completing bench sheets, and updating lab logbooks. + Wash and prepare laboratory glassware to ensure readiness for the next day's samples and testing activities. + Stock and organize laboratory supplies to ensure materials are available and accessible when needed. + Follow standard operating procedures and quality assurance guidelines when using laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation. + Support general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Essential Skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills to document results clearly and interact effectively with team members. + High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and sample handling. + Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies and anomalies in samples and records. + Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time to complete assigned tasks efficiently. + Basic knowledge of laboratory testing information, methods, and techniques. + Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results according to established procedures. + High school diploma or GED required. + 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory or related environment required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Interest in developing laboratory skills and gaining experience with standard lab equipment and instrumentation. + Ability to follow detailed written procedures and standard operating protocols. + Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy. + Comfort working with various sample types and reagents under supervised conditions. Work Environment The Lab Technician I works in a laboratory setting that emphasizes compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures. The role involves frequent handling of samples, reagents, and laboratory glassware, as well as regular use of standard laboratory equipment and instrumentation. The environment requires maintaining clean and organized workstations, glassware, and supply storage areas. Work is typically performed during standard laboratory hours, with tasks that may involve standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, and careful handling of materials to ensure safety and accuracy. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
