The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical laboratory procedures, laboratory management, and specimen processing, with a focus on delivering accurate and timely results. As a Medical Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests, managing data, and supporting clinical trials to advance medical research and patient care. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to vital diagnostic services in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and RNA/DNA extraction with precision and adherence to protocols. Manage laboratory data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ensure proper documentation of test results. Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture, blood sampling, and blood banking procedures, maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and analyzers while ensuring calibration and quality control. Support clinical trials by preparing samples, executing assays, and analyzing data to meet research objectives. Maintain compliance with safety standards, including infection control practices and proper handling of biological specimens. Assist in laboratory management tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of workspaces. Collaborate with healthcare professionals by understanding medical terminology and physiology to interpret test results accurately. Experience Proven clinical laboratory experience with expertise in performing assays such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, and immunoassays. Hands-on experience with specimen collection techniques including venipuncture and blood banking procedures. Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools used in research or clinical settings. Knowledge of laboratory techniques related to blood sampling, blood typing, and physiology principles relevant to diagnostic testing. Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly desirable; familiarity with medical terminology is essential. Experience working within research laboratories or supporting clinical trials is advantageous. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge necessary for accurate testing procedures.
