LAB TECHNICIAN - METAL FINISHING

Livermore, CA Schedule:

Monday-Friday; schedule may vary. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required. We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician with hands-on wet chemistry experience to support chemical bath analysis and process control for anodizing, plating, etching, sealing, and cleaning operations. Key Responsibilities Perform wet chemistry, titrations, pH, conductivity, temperature, and bath analysis . Monitor and maintain chemical tanks and make required chemical adjustments. Troubleshoot out-of-specification baths and coordinate corrective actions with Production and Quality. Perform chemical tank dumps, cleaning/exchanges, and safely handle and dispose of chemicals. Calibrate and operate laboratory testing equipment, including pH and temperature meters. Maintain accurate electronic lab records , including BrixIQ, ERP systems, tablets/iPads, and spreadsheets. Track and analyze bath trends and assist with SPC reporting and quality data . Create, revise, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and laboratory procedures . Support environmental compliance and wastewater treatment monitoring. Follow and promote proper chemical safety and PPE requirements . Assist the Laboratory Supervisor with testing and reporting across multiple locations. Qualifications 2-4 years of laboratory experience with wet chemistry, titrations, and chemical solution maintenance. Experience in metal finishing, anodizing, plating, chemical manufacturing, or a related industry preferred. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent experience. Strong computer skills, including Excel, electronic data entry, and digital lab/quality systems . Strong math and analytical skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Spanish speaking is a plus. Ability to travel between Redwood City and Livermore as needed.
