Full Time Hourly Lab Technician:

Responsibilities:

Perform lab duties such as sorting samples, measuring concentrations, PCR/Nanopore Assembly, post-reaction purification, and other lab duties as needed; Assist with cleaning and maintaining lab equipment and lab; Assist with record-keeping; Various other duties as assigned/needed, possible courier work with opportunity to learn and assist in different departments (Oligo Synthesis/DNA Prep) Preferred•

Not Required:

Familiarity with lab environment in an academic or work setting; Familiar with the use of pipettes, repeaters, multi-channels, fluorescent readers, nanophotometers; Have SOME background knowledge with respect to bacterial transformation, plasmids, and Sanger/Next-Gen Oxford Nanopore sequencing Qualifications： Science related major (Bachelor/Masters), preferably Molecular Bio or Bio/Bio-Chem•recent grads are welcome; Quick learner; Detail oriented and meticulous; Has excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills; Sense of urgency, can meet deadlines; Proactive, needs little guidance once trained; Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel; Willing to work overtime when the need arises

Pay:

$20.00•$22.00 per hour
