Hiring a Microbiology Lab Technician for a great company in Vacaville, CA! Must be okay working within high demand/pressure work environment! Team player and good communication skills! M-F Normal Business Hours Job Description This role involves performing routine environmental monitoring in cleanrooms, including testing viable and non-viable air particles and surface viable counts. You will be responsible for collecting and testing water and steam samples for bioburden, endotoxin, and conductivity, aligned with USP requirements, and performing growth promotion of culture media. investigations, and maintaining the laboratory in an inspection-ready state. Responsibilities Perform routine environmental monitoring in cleanrooms. Collect and test water and steam samples for bioburden, endotoxin, and conductivity. Perform growth promotion of culture media. Evaluate data against defined criteria/specifications. Identify and support
OOS/OOE/OOT
investigations. Maintain the laboratory in an inspection-ready state. Perform routine laboratory functions and chores. Develop and maintain proficiency in trained test methods. Hold self and others accountable to department and company policies. Develop familiarity with cGMP, 21CFR, USP, EP, ICH, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Manage reagent and equipment inventory for assigned areas. Essential Skills Experience in Quality Control and Stability laboratories maintaining cGMP compliance. Ability to follow written instructions and perform tasks with direct or minimal supervision. Proficiency in microbiology and aseptic techniques. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong documentation skills. Development of skills in the operation and routine maintenance of various analytical instruments and computers. Additional Skills & Qualifications
B.S./B.A.
in Science or related field with a major in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or chemistry. 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience. Experience with GMP and environmental monitoring and analysis. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This position operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime required based on manufacturing outputs. The role is based in a pilot cleanroom and a QC lab equipped with modern equipment. Tasks vary daily, supporting production under supervision in a communicative culture within a small team of six. The work involves dynamic responsibilities, adapting to the changing needs of the micro and analyst testing environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
