Job Summary:
This is a full time Intermediate Level Laboratory Science Professional position in the Core Laboratory of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CCTSI), which provides research and training infrastructure as well as core technology resources designed to enhance clinical and basic sciences, promote research excellence, and train the next generation of clinical/translational scientists. The purpose of the position is to perform laboratory duties to support research protocols by means of sample processing, analysis, and documentation. Duties may include routine lab equipment maintenance, pipet calibration verifications, data Intermediate, and other administrative duties to support the laboratory. Individuals in this position are expected to perform their work responsibilities in a semi-independent manner with oversight from more senior individuals in the laboratory.Key Responsibilities:
Technical Assignment Lab 60% Handles human specimens including blood, urine, and sputum. Master study materials, including but not limited to protocols, workflows, and all other essential study documents Perform study-related processes, procedures, and assays as defined in study protocol and in compliance with regulating bodies Performs assays including automated chemistry analyzers, HPLC/UPLC, ELISA, and RIA using standard laboratory equipment. Accurately enters data pertaining to protocols, quality controls, and equipment performance. Participates in troubleshooting for equipment, quality control Test resultingLab Operations:
40% Writing and following lab manuals and SOPs Maintain and update inventory and database/s Day-to-day administrative tasks for the Core Labs Other duties as assigned by the managerWork Location:
Onsite- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in City, State.

Bachelor of Science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution 1 year of professional level experience that includes working in a lab processing human biological specimensSubstitution:
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a lab technician of 4+ years Previous experience reading and implementing research protocolsConditions of Employment:
