We're looking for an Accessioning Specialist who takes pride in accuracy, follows through on commitments, learns quickly, and genuinely wants to make things better. What You'll Do Accessioning & Sample Receiving Receive, inspect, log, and accession laboratory specimens accurately into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Verify specimen identification, labeling, integrity, and accompanying documentation Identify discrepancies and take ownership of getting issues resolved appropriately Follow established SOPs, quality standards, compliance requirements, and security procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient accessioning and receiving environment Understand that accuracy isn't optional —our work supports clinical decision-making and ultimately impacts people's lives Look for opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in daily workflows Courier & Operational Support Safely and professionally transport laboratory specimens and materials as needed Maintain accurate documentation and communication throughout courier activities Represent our organization professionally when interacting with clients, healthcare partners, and others Be dependable and accountable for assigned responsibilities Jump in and help the team when priorities change or additional support is needed Technology & Process Improvement Use LIMS, scanners, tracking systems, and other technology as part of your daily work Learn to troubleshoot basic technology and workflow issues Follow procedures related to data handling, privacy, compliance, and security Identify problems and help develop practical solutions Participate in process improvement, automation, reporting, and workflow initiatives Develop your knowledge of laboratory IT systems, integrations, and informatics over time We want someone who: Takes responsibility for their work and their results Doesn't give up when something is difficult Does the right thing, even when it's inconvenient Brings energy and determination to the work Is willing to do what it takes to help the team succeed Pays close attention to details Understands the importance of following processes consistently Wants to understand why we do things, not just what we're supposed to do Notices when something isn't working and speaks up Can think critically and troubleshoot problems Is comfortable learning new technology and systems Looks for ways to make processes more accurate, efficient, and reliable Takes pride in producing high-quality work Communicates openly and honestly Is comfortable asking questions and admitting when they don't know something Welcomes feedback and actively looks for opportunities to learn Can adapt when priorities, processes, or circumstances change Treats clients, coworkers, and partners as people—not transactions Understands that our success is connected to the success of the people and organizations we serve Celebrates team success rather than seeking individual credit We work hard, we care about each other, and we believe work should be something you're proud to be part of. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, or related field, such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline Experience in a laboratory, medical, courier, logistics, or healthcare environment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable personal transportation that you are willing to use for courier duties Ability to maintain required vehicle insurance, as applicable Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to consistently follow established procedures and compliance requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Willingness and ability to learn laboratory processes, technology, and new systems Reliable attendance and dependable follow-through Preferred, But Not Required Previous clinical laboratory experience Familiarity with LIMS or healthcare-related software Experience with data systems, technology, automation, or process improvement We don't expect you to check every box.
