This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to develop technical skills, and is looking for a long-term career in the materials testing and geotechnical industry. About the Position As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform testing of soil, aggregate, rock and concrete in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and company-specific methods and procedures. You will receive hands-on training and be expected to work toward industry certifications during your first year. The position also includes field testing throughout the Denver Metro area, providing an opportunity to gain experience both in the laboratory and in the field. What You'll Do Perform laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, and concrete according to established ASTM, AASHTO, and company procedures. Perform field testing at construction sites throughout the Metro area. Learn and obtain applicable industry certifications within the first year of employment. Maintain accurate and detailed test records and documentation. Learn to operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory and field equipment. Follow established Quality Management Program procedures. Perform basic calculations, including percentages, ratios, and unit conversions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work effectively with supervisors and coworkers as part of a team. Follow instructions, accept constructive feedback, learn from mistakes, and continually work to improve. Work extended hours and weekends when project needs require it. What We're Looking For Experience preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for someone with the character, work ethic, attitude, and desire to build a long-term career with ATT.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Desire to learn and willingness to pursue industry certifications. Ability to follow direction and established procedures. Strong attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills, including percentages, ratios, and conversions. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products. Ability to work effectively with others and contribute as a team player. Willingness to perform both laboratory and field work. Clean driving record. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Willingness to keep work areas, equipment, and common areas clean and organized. Preferred, but not required: Coursework or experience in materials testing, soils, geology, construction, or a related field. Previous experience working within a Quality Management Program.
