Lab, Medical Lab Specialist, Manchester, Connecticut Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests (microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunologic).
- Collect, prepare and store specimens.
- Forward test results to physicians.
- Keep accurate records.
- Explain procedures to patients.
- Prepare lab reagents.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Maintain safe working environment. Certifications/Requirements
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification from ASCP or AMT required.
- CPR/BLS certification. Experience
- Associate degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
- OR high school diploma with 3+ months documented full-time laboratory training per discipline.
- 3+ months to 1 year acceptable clinical lab experience.
- Experience in required areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology). Compensation and Benefits
