Chemical Lab Technician Role Summary The Lab Technician performs process control sample collection, sample analysis, and modification of chemical parameters to support finishing processes throughout production. This is a 3 month term position with the possibility of extension . Major Role Responsibilities and Expectations Provide process control sample collection according to defined plan and schedule from production tanks. Analyze samples and take corrective action as required. Modify chemical parameters and calibrations on equipment as necessary. Maintain labware and equipment for accurate results. Have timely and consistent attendance. Be in uniform. Successfully use and comply with all PPE requirements.
Requirements:
Requirements Required Role Abilities Be deliberate, focused, accurate, methodical and goal oriented. Be organized, rational, dependable, responsive and team focused. Be proficient in basic math. Have a significant working knowledge of chemistry and laboratory methods. Be proficient in written and oral English. Be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and prints to determine processes and sequence of operations. Have 1+ years' experience in lab functions within manufacturing environments and with chemical finishing processes and equipment. Have a high school diploma or GED, or diploma in chemistry or microbiology. Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
