Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. Job Description:
Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for in-house or reference labs Ensure all samples are handled according to safety and compliance standards Receive and review lab orders for accuracy and completeness Enter lab orders into EMR systems (e.g., OncoEMR) Prepare and send specimens to specialty labs (e.g., Caris, LabCorp, Quest) Maintain lab inventory and supplies Accurately document all lab activities in the patient chart Scan and upload requisitions and results Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations Monitor lab inbox/group email for incoming orders Communicate with providers, nurses, and front desk regarding lab issues Flag incomplete or illegible requisitions for correction Ensure same-day processing of urgent and specialty tests Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab area Follow proper infection control protocols Provide excellent patient service during lab interactions Travels to satellite locations and floats to other clinics if needed
