In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise in laboratory techniques, specimen collection, and equipment operation will ensure the consistent delivery of reliable results and high-quality patient care. Scope of Work and Equipment you will use: Techs should be licensed generalist for chemistry, hematology, urine drug testing, immunology/serology, and virology testing. There will be no blood banking or microbiology testing.

Key Responsibilities Perform routine and moderately complex laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency Ensure reliability of results through proper quality control and adherence to established procedures Collect, process, and analyze specimens (blood, urine, tissue) using proper aseptic techniques Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection methods while maintaining patient safety and comfort Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation Accurately document testing results, quality control measures, and equipment maintenance Communicate critical results clearly and in a timely manner to appropriate clinical staff Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of specimens in compliance with regulatory standards Maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety, infection control, and compliance protocols Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams to support efficient daily operations Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused laboratory environment Provide professional and compassionate patient interaction during specimen collection Schedule Flexible scheduling options available: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Qualifications Florida Licensed Medical Laboratory Technician from an accredited program Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (hospital or diagnostic setting preferred) Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and testing disciplines (Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology) Proficiency in specimen collection techniques, including venipuncture Experience operating laboratory instrumentation and applying aseptic techniques Understanding of basic physiology, anatomy, and vital signs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset Closing Statement If you are committed to advancing patient care through precise and reliable laboratory work, we encourage you to apply.
