Job Description
Description Performs daily QA checks on finished products Performs daily QA checks of shipped goods prior to loading on truck Pulls or ensures samples are obtained for required testing. Manages product retainers Verifies completeness of daily production logs. Ensures all work is performed within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Assists in the establishment of quality standards. Other duties as assigned. Additional Job Functions Perform back-up for production personnel. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on quality assurance equipment.
Day-to-Day:
In the morning they will calibrate scales, doing the checklist, weight check every 30 mins, X-Ray checks every hour. They must know how to navigate a batch record- that shows critical thinking skills. Ensures execution of TNT quality assurance goals & objectives is followed on production floor, actions plans, audits, measurement systems, etc.; analyses department work by periodically evaluating the QA processes for inbound raw materials and Finished Goods to build a better understanding of key quality challenges; collaborates with management team to build commitment to implement department improvements & maintain high quality compliance; communicates with purchasing and compliance regarding testing processes; facilitates periodic quality meetings with employees & teams to discuss methods of testing for quality of inbound raws and Finished goods; validates quality processes by ensuring product / service specification & quality attributes, measurements, maintains & improves quality by conducting periodic surveillance audits, investigates & follows up on customer complaints relating to quality, periodically meets with Compliance and management team about "the state of quality" and compliance; Specific duties include:, reviews c of a's and raw criteria for batch records; QA's pallet shipments; print outs & updates house labels for products, cases, etc.; ensures quality runs of inbound raws to spec for batch; involved in billing lab processes to customers sensory, organoleptic, allergen, environmental testing; send out products and raws to 3rd party labs; obtains air and water samples from production floor; assists in validations; records and keeps track of all tests; Work with auditing bodies such as Kosher/Halal/Organic. Performs other quality duties requested. Needs to be organized, Performs quality checks, assures procedures are being followed on production floor, obtains water and air samples, tests machinery for allergens and cleanliness, assists in sending samples to lab and may perform density tests, water tests etc within internal lab. Experience with Batch Records and manual/computer documentation. A degree and management experience are a plus! Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Working knowledge of PC, Microsoft Office, Internet Ability to lift up to 20 pounds required. Good attendance / appearance & personal hygiene / oral & written communication skills; positive attitude; strong work ethic; ability to work behind a computer for extended periods of time; prepare accurate, timely and complete reports; and completes tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision; confidentiality; willingness to enforce Company policies & procedures; works well with others; proper treatment of Company assets; attention to detail; ability to lead & manage others, understanding of equipment set-up, break down, cleaning / sanitizing, lockout & tagout procedures; computer experience required, including Microsoft Office. Industry Experience is preferred but not necessary if have background in food processing, manufacturing. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leesburg, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
