The Medical Assistant Instructor provides high-quality instruction in a technical college setting, preparing students for entry-level employment in clinical and administrative medical assisting roles. The instructor delivers hands-on, competency-based training aligned with state/industry standards and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruct students in clinical and administrative medical assisting skills, including patient care, phlebotomy, EKG, medical terminology, and medical office procedures. Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet program, accreditation, and workforce requirements. Assess student performance through exams, practical skills evaluations, and clinical simulations. Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with college, state, and accreditation guidelines. Support student success, professionalism, and job readiness. Collaborate with faculty, administration, and advisory committees to ensure program relevance.

Qualifications:

Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required. Minimum of 6 years, documentable, clinical experience. Prior teaching or training experience strongly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and instructional skills.

Work Environment:

Classroom, lab, and simulated clinical settings within a career and technical college.
