Off Reliant Scientific is seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our laboratory team. The primary responsibility of this position will be labeling and preparing patient specimens for laboratory testing in an accurate, efficient, and organized manner. This is a great opportunity for someone with laboratory experience or someone who is eager to learn, pays close attention to detail, and can quickly adapt to established laboratory procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Accurately label and organize patient specimens for testing Process and prepare specimens according to established laboratory procedures Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols to help ensure accurate and reliable results Verify specimen information and maintain proper organization throughout the processing workflow Assist with general specimen management and laboratory workflow Clean and maintain laboratory work areas and equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all applicable laboratory safety and quality procedures Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in a laboratory or specimen-processing environment is preferred but not required We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to catch on quickly Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS/LIMS) is a plus Knowledge of clinical laboratory or histology procedures is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy Dependable and able to work the required Tuesday-Saturday schedule This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this position.
