The laboratory accessioner will provide clinical laboratory support for a high-complexity physician office laboratory including patient sample receiving, accessioning, sample preparation, inventory management, client communication, quality control, and similar functions as part of operating a full service molecular laboratory.
Primary Duties:
Assist laboratory staff in conducting molecular experiments and assays under supervision. Prepare laboratory equipment for testing. Maintain accurate records and perform routine maintenance of equipment. Handle, label, and store chemicals and biological samples according to safety and retention protocols. Support laboratory staff in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality standards. Serve as primary laboratory support to client physician offices to help resolve problems, replenish supplies and support resolution of specimen issues. Assist with inventory management. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve sample and technical issues. Participate in laboratory meetings, training sessions and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge. Receive samples into the Laboratory Information Management System.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
