Laboratory Testing Personnel (Moderate/High Complexity) Axial Diagnostics Alpharetta, GA Job Details Full-time $25 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Biology Attention to detail Organizational skills Quality systems Associate's degree Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking detail-oriented Laboratory Testing Personnel to support daily operations within a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory environment. This role is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, quality control documentation, instrument maintenance support, and accurate reporting of laboratory results in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory setting while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Essential Responsibilities Perform specimen receipt, accessioning, processing, and preparation Conduct moderate and/or high complexity laboratory testing according to established procedures Accurately document and report test results Follow all laboratory procedures related to specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record retention Perform and document quality control activities, calibrations, and routine instrument maintenance Identify and troubleshoot issues that may impact test performance or result accuracy Escalate unresolved technical or quality concerns to laboratory leadership as appropriate Document corrective actions when testing systems deviate from established performance specifications Participate in proficiency testing activities in accordance with CLIA requirements Maintain compliance with laboratory quality systems, safety protocols, and regulatory standards Participate in ongoing training and continuing education requirements Qualifications Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science from an accredited institution; OR Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field Prior experience in a clinical laboratory environment preferred Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, COLA, or other laboratory regulatory standards preferred Experience performing moderate or high complexity testing preferred Strong documentation and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a laboratory team Physical & Work Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to handle biological specimens using appropriate safety precautions Comfortable working in a laboratory environment with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems Ability to lift and move laboratory materials and supplies as needed Continuing Education Employees in this role are expected to complete annual continuing education and maintain competency requirements in accordance with laboratory policy and applicable regulations.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
