FULL-TIME

days : Mon - Friday, start time is 10:00am, end time typically is 6:30pm Occasional late hours are required to complete processing all specimens received for the day. Primary Responsibilities Perform sample handling, prep, and extraction of patient/proficiency samples for quantitative drug analyses. Prepares reagents, standards, and controls as required by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ability to create batches and other tasks in the lab's LIS (Laboratory Information System). Performs daily operation on instrumentation such as: Tecan Freedom EVO, Integra VIAFLO 96, ThermoFisher INDIKOPlus chemical analyzer and Agilent Liquid Chromatography (LC)/ tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS) systems such as: 6420, 6460, and 6490. Identifies any instrument issues and able to initiate troubleshooting steps. When necessary, notify the Lab's Instrument Specialist and/or contact technical support, if required. Follow the laboratory policies and procedures according to the SOPs to maintain sample integrity and produce high quality. Ensure all documentation is initialed allowing for full traceability and reconstruction of daily tasks performed. Participates in proficiency testing and competency testing. Maintains inventory of supplies/consumables for daily operation.

General lab duties including:

washing glassware, disposing samples, stocking supplies, etc. Keeps lab area safe, clean, and organized. Perform other duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Director. Required Skills Ability to work amicably as a team member with a positive outlook and a "can-do" attitude. Ability to lift 15-20 lbs. Willingness to work occasional late shifts, or weekends, when necessary. Willing to be flexible and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced workflow environment. Preferred Skills Previous experience in a laboratory environment. Experience with

LC/MS-MS

would be an asset. Ability to accurately understand and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions. Excellent attention to detail. Must be well-organized and demonstrate good record keeping abilities. Knowledge of a LIS (Laboratory Information System) Basic lab math calculation skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Google Sheets.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's of Science degree required in Biology (General, Pre-Med, Molecular, or Life Sciences) or Chemistry OR Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Associate's degree; ASCP certification, or equivalent required. Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; ASCP certification, or equivalent required.

PAY:

Starting $20.00/hr

•Negotiable only if a candidate has specific LCMS experience.

Pay:

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 42.0 per week
