Job Description

We are a fragrance manufacturer looking for a detail-oriented lab technician. This person will compound experimental fragrances for outbound samples. This job requires the weighing of powders and liquids on a lab scale. Once compounded the tech bottles and labels the experiment for processing. The perfect candidate will be looking for an entry position in the fragrance industry. We are expanding and need to fill this position immediately.
Salary :
$20 /hour Shift -12:30-8:30pm Training - 8:00am-4:30pm Required education: High school or equivalent

Aromatic Fragrances International (AFI) is a leading fragrance manufacturing company located in Cartersville, GA. AFI has a strong commitment and passion for creating unique scents. We blend the traditional with the modern to produce the highest quality fragrances for our customers. Our fragrances are used in a variety of products such as candles, soaps, incense, air fresheners, and any other product with an added scent. Responsibilities Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks and gather stock from the warehouse. Required to accurately select pallets from the warehouse and load them onto trucks. Pull orders from the shipping area Experience with matching BOL's and invoices to the materials being shipped. Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse by disposing of trash daily, sweeping floors daily, and using floor scrubber periodically. Be very detailed oriented and ensure correct material is selected, processed, and shipped. Assemble orders on wood pallets if needed Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized Operates warehouse equipment to complete tasks adhering to company safety practices While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requirements High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent education. Must have 2 years of related experience which includes forklift operation. Punctual with a strong work ethic and able to work with little or no supervision. Applies attention to detail and task accuracy. Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting, seeing, hand-eye coordination, listening, writing, and speaking. Mental tasks include reading, interpreting, calculating, measuring, and communicating. Ability to successfully complete various in-house and customer safety training programs. Must be able to observe and abide by all safety rules and regulations Must be computer literate and able to perform simple computer transactions.
