Description:
Standard Sand & Silica is currently looking for a Quality Control Specialist for our Ivey, GA location. The ideal candidate will perform quality assurance tests to ensure the quality of products and that they conform to established company standards. These tests will include but not be limited to the following: Gradation/Sieve Analysis, Sand Equivalency, Colorimetric, and Refractory of Heavy Minerals.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in math skills Must be knowledgeable in computer software, Excel, and Word Must be detail oriented Demonstrate oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Must be able to work any shift Desire to work hard. Honest and dependable. Ethics and moral value are important.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Driver's License and clean driving record Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering related field or will accept an equivalent combination or experience and/or education Experience with computer, Excel, and Word Must be able to pass a drug test and pre-employment physical Physical Requirements Requires walking, siting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but not limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling control
