A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

  • $28 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Computer operation Sleep medicine Physiology knowledge Sleep center experience Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Overview Children's Lung and Sleep Associates is seeking a full-time and part time night shift polysomnographic technician to perform independent, comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis according to American Academy of Sleep Medicine standards.
As a sleep technician, you will also apply appropriate treatments We are looking for a candidate who have a strong background in patient care, preferably experience in EEG monitoring, telemetry, respiratory diagnostics , knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation. Sleep study include the process of monitoring and recording physiologic data during sleep. Sleep technicians at all levels are encouraged to apply (RPSGT, CPSGT) as well as ASTEP candidates. We are also offering a sleep trainee program that would lead to subsequent enrollment and completion of A step program by American Sleep Medicine. Pay is based on the experience, certification and level of training . Responsibilities
  • Perform sleep study set up
  • Monitor physiological parameters during diagnostic evaluation
  • Conduct sleep studies and analyze results
  • apply therapies; oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results Skills
  • good understanding of medical terminology
  • good computor skills
  • Experience in sleep medicine is a plus
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately
  • Prior experience working in a sleep center is advantageous
