Job Description

Laboratory Technician Johnston, IA $19-22/hr 7-Month Contract The Laboratory Technician will assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.
Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:
Working in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings. Plant sampling, DNA extraction, high-throughput PCR, and laboratory inventory sample management. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
Laboratory Technician Requirements:
BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred. Those working toward a BS in Science with previous laboratory experience will be considered. Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR. Must be familiar with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel. 1 years+ prior relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment is required. #INDHS
