  • $29.82/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Laboratory Technician I performs a variety of laboratory testing to aid in the diagnosis of disease. Duties include performing quality control, preventive maintenance on equipment, and minor troubleshooting with referral of complex issues to senior employees. Duties may also include specimen collection, training personnel and students. Independent judgment and professional education and certification are required. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An associate's degree as a Clinical Laboratory Technician with the successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLT exam or obtained within the first year of employment Alternative associate degrees are acceptable with successful completion of ASCP or AMT CLT Certification exam prior to employment Certification CLT (ASCP or AMT)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 1-2 years previous lab experience Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time with good organizational skills, judgment and technical skills. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians and other clinical personnel when responding to routine inquires and reporting laboratory results. Analytical skills necessary in order to interpret routine tests, recognize abnormal test results and troubleshoot equipment.
