We are hiring a 3rd shift QA Lab Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an established injection molding manufacturer in Elgin, IL. This QA Lab Technician will perform in-process inspections, monitor SPC data, complete startup and final-shot approvals, and ensure finished parts meet customer specifications. Perks & Benefits Direct-hire opportunity — become a company employee from day one $22-$23/hour, based on experience Consistent 3rd shift schedule — 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM Hands-on quality role with responsibility for inspection, SPC, documentation, and production quality Must Haves At least 1 year of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment At least 1 year of experience working in an injection molding environment Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and inspection procedures Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part specifications Experience using precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, gauge pins, and gauge blocks What You'll Be Doing Inspect parts from injection molding presses at designated intervals and complete startup approvals and last-shot inspections Perform and monitor SPC, ensuring production remains within established control limits and inspection requirements Identify, isolate, label, and contain questionable or nonconforming parts when defects are discovered Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, reference samples, and quality documentation Communicate quality concerns to production leadership and help ensure finished products meet customer requirements Nice to Haves Experience using vision inspection equipment or vision measurement systems Experience completing or assisting with corrective action reports Strong ability to recognize subtle visual and color variations in manufactured parts Experience working directly with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve in-process quality issues If you enjoy quality work where your inspections and attention to detail directly impact what leaves the facility, apply today for immediate consideration.
