54575 job summary: Step into an essential long-term contract role as a Laboratory Technician I with a Top-Tier Global Leader in Fort Wayne, IN. Operating on a 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM shift with weekend coverage required, this position focuses on monitoring, testing, and maintaining critical pretreatment and e-coat systems. You will perform essential chemical analyses to ensure optimal process performance, high product quality, and strict environmental compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

2pm-10:30pm location: Fort Wayne, Indiana job type: Contract salary: $19.00 - 19.80 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: High School responsibilities: Perform titrations, chemical analyses, and routine laboratory testing on pretreatment and e-coat systems. Monitor system integrity, evaluate performance data, and make process adjustments to ensure quality. Verify proper e-coat rectifier settings and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance. Document test results, process data, and measurements accurately in electronic databases and logs. Maintain laboratory and process areas in accordance with 5S principles and safety standards. Troubleshoot process, quality, and equipment issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

qualifications:

Required:

Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures, specifications, and work instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication capabilities. Ability to work weekends, learn quickly, and routinely climb stairs. Ability to stand, walk, and work safely around chemical systems wearing required PPE.

Preferred:

Experience with titrations, pretreatment, e-coat, wastewater, or DI/RO industrial systems. Knowledge of quality management systems and environmental compliance requirements.
