We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of food safety, quality, and operational teams. This position will be responsible for routine product testing for our clients FSQR department. Located in Indianapolis, IN 3 month contract 2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm

Pay:

$18-20/hour Key Responsibilities Perform routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and final products independently. Conduct routine product testing while monitoring and checking analytical instrumentation performance. Support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision. Document and interpret laboratory test results in active databases and communicate results to internal customers as required. Run calibration checks, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and complete simple repairs on analytical instrumentation. Maintain customer specification books and ensure they remain up to date. Ensure compliance with applicable food safety regulations, procedures, and compliance programs for individual testing activities. Monitor adherence to food safety and regulatory requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally to help develop, maintain, and improve food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory culture. Handle clerical, administrative, technical, and customer support issues under general supervision. Prepare routine reports and correspondence as required. Qualifications & Skills Associates degree and 2 years lab experience preferred; High school diploma required Ability to perform routine laboratory testing and follow established procedures. Ability to operate, monitor, calibrate, and perform basic maintenance on analytical laboratory instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and communicate test results.
