Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technician (PSG Tech) to join the Sleep Lab team. The Polysomnographic Technician performs routine and complex polysomnographic recordings , monitors patients throughout sleep studies, and conducts CPAP/BiPAP testing and titration . The role requires strong technical knowledge of sleep-study equipment, independent judgment, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach. The technician will educate patients about sleep studies and sleep apnea, provide appropriate CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and ensure testing is performed safely and according to department and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and complex polysomnographic recordings (PSG) . Properly connect patients to the appropriate electrodes and monitoring equipment. Monitor patients throughout the sleep study and respond appropriately to changes or needs. Perform CPAP/BiPAP testing and titration according to department policies and procedures. Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy safely and effectively.

Educate patients about:

Sleep studies Sleep apnea CPAP titration Testing procedures and expectations Review patient paperwork and ensure required documentation is completed. Disconnect patients from electrodes following completion of the study. Assist patients as needed before, during, and after testing. Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork. Demonstrate independent judgment while working with minimal supervision. Follow department and hospital-wide policies, procedures, and professional standards. Maintain and continually improve technical knowledge and skills. Work collaboratively with other members of the Sleep Lab and healthcare team. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a sleep medicine setting Hands-on experience with polysomnographic recordings Experience performing PSG/sleep studies Experience with CPAP/BiPAP testing and titration Knowledge of sleep apnea Strong patient monitoring and assessment skills Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Strong patient education and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment with minimal supervision Proficiency with applicable sleep-study equipment and technology Epic experience required Education No specific degree required Required Certifications BLS One of the following certifications is required:
