West Lafayette Job Summary Join Purdue University's Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) and contribute to advancing animal health through high-quality diagnostic testing. In this role, you will perform routine and specialized procedures to identify parasitic pathogens in animals, generating accurate, timely data that supports both diagnostic and research missions. As a key member of the Parasitology team, you'll analyze results, maintain strong attention to detail, and help deliver critical insights to veterinarians, researchers, and stakeholders. This position also offers cross-training opportunities across additional laboratory sections, giving you the chance to expand your skillset while providing valuable backup support to ensure seamless lab operations.
About us:
The Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine, located in West Lafayette, IN, is a full-service veterinary diagnostic laboratory that serves the state of Indiana by providing both routine and regulatory diagnostic services to support Indiana veterinarians, animal health officials, livestock producers, and animal owners. What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Qualified candidates will need: Bachelor's degree in science or a related field Veterinary technical degrees may also be considered One year of relevant work experience An equivalent combination of an Associate's degree and 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered Skills needed: Ability to multitask and be flexible in order to accomplish daily tasks Be willing to work in a team setting Ability to work independently under moderate supervision What is helpful: A degree in biology or animal sciences
