We are hiring 1-2 Laboratory Research Associates for hands-on testing, equipment setup, troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting. This temporary assignment offers the possibility of permanent employment based on demonstrated performance and business needs. Who we're looking for We need at least one person with hands-on microbiology experience , including microbial culturing, aseptic technique, serial dilutions, plating, enumeration, and conducting laboratory studies. For an additional opening, we welcome applicants with backgrounds in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, or related technical fields . Strong recent graduates with practical laboratory or engineering project experience are encouraged to apply. Duties will be matched to experience and demonstrated ability. Across both openings, we value people who learn quickly, reason through unfamiliar problems, take initiative, and consistently produce accurate work. Responsibilities Prepare and conduct laboratory tests following study protocols and safety procedures. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation, tubing, airflow controls, and test chambers. Perform microbiology procedures where qualified and trained. Record observations, maintain accurate study documentation, and identify unexpected results. Analyze data, prepare graphs, and contribute to technical summaries and reports. Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use. Follow through on assignments and help teammates meet project deadlines. Qualifications and work habits Relevant scientific or engineering education; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Practical laboratory skills or demonstrated technical and mechanical aptitude. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and clear communication. Ability to work productively with increasing independence after training. Proficiency with Excel and technical writing. Previous aerosol-science experience is helpful but not required.
