Job Description

Job Description Our Client is seeking a Quality Systems & Raw Material Risk Specialist to support quality systems, supplier compliance, and raw material approval processes. This role serves as a key link between Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Operations, R D, and suppliers to ensure materials meet quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements prior to use. Responsibilities include managing raw material approvals, reviewing supplier documentation, conducting risk assessments, maintaining supplier compliance records, tracking approval status, and supporting issue resolution activities. The specialist will also maintain controlled documents within the Quality Management System, support specification management, assist with audits and corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally to drive quality compliance while maintaining accurate documentation and supplier records. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field 2+ years of experience in quality systems, food safety, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, or raw material processes Strong organizational, documentation, and project coordination skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and business systems/software Experience with raw material approvals, supplier documentation, or risk assessments Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), eQMS, document control, or change management processes Experience supporting food safety programs, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives Familiarity with ISO 22000, GMPs, supplier qualification, and regulatory requirements Experience with Salesforce, AS400, MAPICS, MES, or similar systems
