Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE/FUNCTION
: Conduct testing by proscribed methods and procedures to ensure products have been fully tested and proven to meet acceptable test criteria. Methods and materials must produce a safe high quality product that is reproducible in manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory Testing Perform analyses and tests accurately and on a timely basis. Accurately enter data into appropriate databases. Operate laboratory equipment and instruments following established procedures. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Organize and prepare supplies needed to complete work. Maintain a functional, clean an organized work area. Recording Data and Communication of Results Accurately record and communicate test results (orally and written). Prepare reports , charts, and graphs for internal and external evaluation. Process Improvement and Innovation Collaborate to find new and creative ways to maximize job efficiency, cost containment, reduction in efforts, streamlining documentation process, Implements and utilize new technology, and/or improve information reporting and communication. Independently search for, recommend, and implement process and method improvements that maximize administrative efficiencies and eliminate process redundancy, manual data entry and unnecessary paperwork. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required Assist in development and maintenance of laboratory programs and procedures. Assist in monitoring production process and developing new production processes to maximize productivity and/or improve quality. Produce high quality products that are reproducible in manufacturing. Complete paperwork accurately, legibly and in a timely manner. Adhere to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience College Degree or technical certification with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, or other applied discipline desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. ProfessionalDesignations / Licensures / Certifications None required at time of hire. Employees are required to obtain certifications during employment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Excellent Communication Skills:
written and verbal Good analytical, math and problem-solving skills Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite Able to work in a fast-paced production environment Work Environment / Physical Demands Requires the ability to communicate effectively. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 45 pounds. Must be able to pass sensory test, must be able to differentiate colors and smells Requires being around moving machinery.
