About the
Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Specimen Collector to join our team. This position focuses on collecting and handling medical specimens for testing and ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and comfortable working in a healthcare or laboratory environment while maintaining patient confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Collect and properly label medical specimens (urine, swabs, etc.) Prepare, package, and document specimens for laboratory processing Ensure chain-of-custody procedures are followed Maintain a clean and organized work area Handle patient information with confidentiality and professionalism Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant training preferred) Experience in specimen collection or healthcare support role a plus Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping Strong communication and organizational skills Must be dependable and able to follow procedures precisely
