  • 7:15 AM 36-48 hours/week Every other weekend No call No holidays May float between Bossier & Pierremont Sleep Centers Free parking Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Polysomnographic Technician / Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist / Sleep Technician for a travel assignment in Bossier City, Louisiana.
The ideal candidate has experience with polysomnography (PSG), overnight sleep studies, CPAP, BiPAP, PAP therapy, sleep monitoring, and patient care . Must be comfortable working with pediatric through geriatric patients and working independently when needed. Requirements Minimum 1 year Polysomnography / Sleep Lab experience Previous travel healthcare experience required RPSGT or RRT-SDS certification BLS certification Active Louisiana license as required Pediatric through geriatric experience Experience with PSG / sleep studies Experience with CPAP, BiPAP & PAP mask fitting Strong sleep-study equipment troubleshooting skills Comfortable working independently on overnight shifts Responsibilities Perform and monitor overnight polysomnography (PSG) / sleep studies Monitor patients for OSA, central sleep apnea, narcolepsy, parasomnias & sleep-related movement disorders Apply and monitor EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory belts, thermistors & pulse oximetry Monitor oxygen saturation, respiratory effort, heart rate, body position and movements Perform PAP mask fitting and assist with CPAP/BiPAP Troubleshoot PSG equipment and monitoring systems Explain procedures and answer patient questions Provide basic patient care and assist with ambulation Document in Meditech Expanse EMR Follow sleep-lab procedures and patient-safety standards BI01 Polysomnographic Technician Polysomnographer Sleep Technologist Sleep Technician Sleep Lab Technician PSG Technician
